Direct Mail for Dummies (and You)

Do you use email to market your business?

Yes, of course.

But do people open all your emails? Or read them?

No, of course.

That's because the competition for their attention online -- from Facebook, Amazon, Zappos, whatever -- is just a click away.

Maybe that's why direct mail gets up to 4,557% better response than email, according to the Harvard Business Review (May 2013).

Guess who else knows this?

Facebook. Amazon. Zappos. They all use direct mail to market their businesses.

Even Toyota.

In fact, Toyota now uses one of my own secret weapons for direct mail: The Paper Email.

Take a look ...

Pretty neat, huh?

The handwritten font on the Paper Email and the envelope is totally realistic. Plus, the offer is strong, the call to action is clear, and there's a deadline.

Toyota, a big dumb company that normally runs big dumb car ads, has done something very nimble and smart. And I'm going to call them about a new car 🙂

Bottom line: The Paper Email, which I may have been the first person to use back in 2009, is really not direct mail for dummies ...

This is direct mail for busy, smart people. If you can make an offer, give a call to action, and include a deadline in your Paper Email, you can profit from this simple tool.

It's fast. Easy. Cheap.

And it works.

For the past 8 years, I've used Paper Emails to get attention (and sales!) from busy executives and entrepreneurs ... magazine editors ... even Seth Godin, the marketing uber-guru, called me from his car after getting one in 2009.

Anyway, if you can write an email, stuff an envelope, and lick a stamp ...

... the Paper Email can build your business.

In fact, if you give Marketing Multipliers a try today, I'll send you a Paper Email template and easy instructions. You could be getting more new clients by this time next week.
